NextGen Athletic Greatness helps youth athletes build real, transferable performance: acceleration & top-end speed, agility, deceleration, strength/power, and mental toughness.
No fluff. Focused coaching, measurable progress, and high standards — so your athlete shows up confident on game day.
I’ve been an athlete my entire life. I grew up competing year-round as a three-sport athlete, learning early the value of discipline, structure, and hard work. In high school, that dedication paid off — I earned the opportunity to be recruited to play Division I football.
That path, however, didn’t unfold the way I expected. A serious injury forced me to step away from the game at the highest level and re-evaluate my future. While the chapter closed sooner than planned, the lessons never left — resilience, preparation, accountability, and perspective.
Stepping away from competition didn’t take away my passion for sports. It sharpened it. I became deeply invested in understanding athletic development, injury prevention, movement quality, and what young athletes truly need to succeed — not just physically, but mentally.
Today, NextGen Athletic Greatness exists to give young athletes the structure, coaching, and confidence I wish every athlete had access to. My mission is simple: help athletes build strong foundations, move well, train smart, and develop habits that carry beyond the field.
This isn’t about shortcuts or hype. It’s about discipline, consistency, and doing things the right way — one rep at a time. LeBron Covington, Founder & Head Coach
I coach because there is greatness in every athlete. My role is to help athletes unlock that inner greatness — through discipline, confidence, and consistent work.
WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING
"I've noticed a huge difference this season in softball for my daughter. Coach LeBron helped her out with her form and take off to be faster out the jump."
Prosper Parent
Softball
"He's always been able to run fast, but the biggest difference I've seen in him is his quickness and agility to be more athletic for a 5 year old."
Prosper Parent
Age 5
"Coach LeBron coaches the mindset as much as the movement. My son came home after his first session talking about discipline and effort. That's exactly what we were looking for."
